Do not use for more than 3 days.
Nurofen Plus is a combination pain relief medication containing ibuprofen (200mg) and codeine phosphate (12.8mg) per tablet. It is designed for short-term relief of moderate pain that is not alleviated by standard painkillers such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, or aspirin alone.
What is Nurofen Plus Used For?
Nurofen Plus tablets provide effective relief from:
- Migraine and headaches
- Neuralgia
- Period pain
- Dental pain
- Back pain
- Rheumatic and muscular pain
Due to the presence of codeine, which belongs to the opioid class of medicines, Nurofen Plus 32 tablets should only be used when other pain relief options do not provide adequate relief.
How Does Nurofen Plus Work?
The ibuprofen in Nurofen Plus is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing inflammation and pain. Codeine phosphate, an opioid analgesic, works by modifying the body's perception of pain, providing stronger relief.
