Voltarol contains diclofenac diethylammonium 1.16% w/w, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). When applied directly to the skin, the active ingredient penetrates the affected area to help relieve pain and inflammation associated with muscle and soft tissue injuries.
Voltarol Back & Muscle Pain Relief Gel is suitable for adults and children aged 14 years and over. It can be used for localised pain caused by:
Muscle aches and soreness
Back pain
Sprains and strains
Sports injuries
Soft tissue pain and inflammation
Apply a small amount of gel (approximately the size of a one or two penny piece) to the affected area 3–4 times daily. Gently massage the gel into the skin and wash your hands after use unless your hands are the area being treated. Always read the enclosed leaflet before use and follow the recommended instructions.
